It has been a humbling week for ASAP.......in a good sense!
We received an inspiring story about a very special girl in Ohio.....a girl battling an inoperable brain tumor. The doctors have given her six months to live. She is a girl who put herself aside and wanted to give money to a horse in need. The horse she chose, of all horses she could have chosen, was Precious KC. The money came via Pay Pal with a note, so I emailed the parents, and they in turn shared their story. It was a story of selflessness despite a life-threatening illness. All of you believers out there, please pray for Ashlea. I am hoping to include the article about her in the Ohio newspaper on our web site and hopefully the USTA can do a story as well. I know miracles exist - a gal I was very close to years ago had an untreatable form of lymphoma. The doctors said there was 99% mortality rate. Sue, being a believer, wanted to be that 1%, and her family was in prayer and believing for her. A couple of weeks ago she went to the doctor for an evaluation of her current condition before going to New York to seek alternative therapies. The cancer was GONE - no explanation for it................gone. She knows how she was healed, and I think God wants us to share this story so others can hang on to hope. Ashlea has our prayers and thanks!
Women in Racing donated $300 on behalf of ASAP - they were located in Sacramento, California but they have dissolved their organization and wanted us to have this contribution for what we do for the horses in the racing industry. Thank you so very much!
Andrea T..........once again made a sizeable donation and we thank her.
And Cindy of Odds On Racing Stable has pledged a $500 sponsorship donation......
Women and girls - our world is a much better place for the horses because of them!
Hugs to you all,
Susan
