In an effort to serve the Amish once their horses are no longer useable
for their own purposes, we have the following horse in urgent need of
private sale vs. the next horse sale. It is known that this horse has
side bone and is no longer capable of going long distances at high speeds.
The farrier stated that the horse would be best suited as a riding horse
and/or pleasure horse. He has no visible signs of side bone at this time
and no xrays have been done to confirm it. However, if we are unable to locate a buyer, we doubt that any other
person looking for a buggy horse would bid on this horse knowing the
reason why it is at sale. Please help if you can! 6 year old pure black Standardbred gelding - has been used as buggy horse
since age 3 - was purchased at Thorpe sale three years ago as a horse who
wasn't going fast enough at the track.
