I will say that I am impressed with Paul G. Egrie at the United States
Department of Agriculture. He phoned me this morning after attempting to
reach kill buyer Steve Marg from BRF, who is not answering his phone
currently. He said that it would be possible to stop the movement of Magic into
Mexico if we know what port he was taken to, and when. If we cannot
connect with Steve, this information cannot be gotten anywhere else. I did get the number for the supervisor of the Texas TDA, who monitors
movement of horses into Mexico. Her name is Jessica - contact number is
512-463-8251. They would be willing, according to Mr. Egrie, to look for
Magic if they know WHICH Port...........auuughhh.........frustrating. On the other hand, a very nice person who lost her horse to slaughter
after it was stolen from her, is assisting us with this. She thinks Steve
is also a dealer, and may keep horses back that are well trained or
gentle, and resell them. He, she feels, may lie about the horse being
shipped, to get us off his back. I think Steve not answering his phone
indicates to me that he may not want to divulge any more information. I feel as though we have fought the good fight, and now it is in God's
hands. I will continue to try to reach Steve by text and phone. Anyone
else who wants to try to reach him, or Jessica, or Jon, or Mr. Egrie -
much appreciated. For Magic..............and so many like him.
